Way too many kpop idol groups showing up

Fin.Kl - 1st generation of Korean female idol
Hello fans of kpop or just people who are interested in it. I have said it several times that I am not a big fan of this huge idol pop up that is happening for the past couple of years. Don't get me wrong I don't hate all of them, there are people I like and songs I like, but what I hate is the repetitiveness of the whole thing.

It is impossible to know or like every girl that is coming up anyway. Let me ask you this, name your favorite idol group and are they really so special and unique from other groups that are present? I want you to think critically not just your personal taste.

I understand that kpop is making a huge boom outside Korea and new generation of groups are needed to continue on this trend, but the number of new generation that people are trying to make are way too much.

Out of 5 member per group there are only 1,2 people who actually has a capability to become a "singer." (not true for all group) My final point is this, I don't need 500 groups to sing 1 type of genre with all the electronic voices. Bring out only who are actually prepared and have the skillset to become a singer, because idol is a SINGER.

Simon D. - Cheerz (사이먼 도미닉 - 짠해)

Simon D., a member of supreme team, have released couple of singles. This particular song was introduced to me by a non-korean friend and I am delighted with his choice of music. E-Sens, other member of supreme team, was related with a drug issue, but they plan on releasing a new album next year according to the news. Simon D. is famous for dating Lady Jane, indie musician. Also he became popular to the public through a show called "Brave Brothers." With his accent (사투리) and smooth talk during a improv. he successfully spread his name, however he couldn't show much more in the future.

Wanted - Like you feat. IU (원티드)

Wanted is a group that came out around 2003/2004. They were male trio that had dominant voices and soul, but unfortunately due to an accident which killed one of the member, there was a halt to the group. They came back with this album and thanks to an anonymous comment, I was able to find it. I only know Ha Dong Kyun from the group, because he had successful solo artist career with "Butterfly" and "Please Love Her".
Through some research I found out that they used to be part of a group called 7Days, which had Lee Jung as well. Since Lee Jung became a solo artist, they produced this group called Wanted.
They have released an album together with Lee Jung and they have some amazing songs in there, but unfortunately I haven't seen them together ever since.

Lim Jung Hee - Tears didn't come out (눈물이 안났어)

Lim Jung Hee started out from JYP entertainment. She would sing on the street to showoff her skill. Her debut song, music is my life, was strong and awesome and still regarded as one of the high-skilled song for a vocalist. Only problem, she didn't make a lot of TV appearances to grow her fan base outside her music, which isn't really a bad thing from an artist point of view. She tried to go abroad with JYP, but I'm not sure how that went at all. She is currently singing a lot of OST for dramas.

This song was sang by Michelle Lee from KPOP Star (audition program) and that is where I found it.

  6. Primary - Playboy's diary

House Rulez - On my way (하우스룰즈)

I am currently searching for a great theme music. Although my lovely One candlelight by G.O.D. is an awesome background music, it does not fulfil what I wanted to do with the "theme music." And through many hours of searching, this song is a strong candidate. It is bringing some awesome chorus with upbeat melody. I found House Rulez previously through a party music cd. And also there is a Korean magician who uses their music for the show.
Anyway, they are awesome if you want some party music. This is a very wild guess, but I'm assuming they make House music.

Buzz - Thorn (버즈 - 가시)

Buzz was a band that became very popular around 2006, if I remember it correctly. However, just like many bands, the vocal, Min Kyung Hoon, was the only one getting popularity. After couple of songs, I believe they disbanded for multiple reasons. Min Kyung Hoon came back as a solo artist, but wasn't as successful as before. The song's chorus is very powerful and I like it.

UV - Set me up (주선해줘)

UV is a duo group, one comedian and one music composer. They are known for their comedic music video and lyrics. This one isn't really a full song, but it is so addicting and funny, it had to be introduced, because it shows who they are in such a short time. The only bad thing with UV is that it is really funny if you understand what they are saying, but you probably won't understand. Addicting anyway. More of UV will be introduced in the future.
The song is about how a solo guy wants a friend to set him up with the girl.

Davichi - My Man (다비치)

Female duo group, who is very well known for their music, looks, and skills. One of the member has been in a show called "Immortal Song 2" and showed her vocal skills perfectly. At the start of their career, they had a music video featuring Lee Mi Yeon (famous actress) and Lee Hyo Ri (famous female singer) which gave them somewhat of a fame. After that, new music video featuring HaHa(singer/entertainer) was a huge success and they have been popular with successful songs one after another.
I personally don't think the music video suits what I imagined the song image would be, but nice song nonetheless. They have numerous amounts of song that you should check out and they will be introduced in the future.

Geeks - Officially Missing You (긱스)

Geeks is a 2 member hip hop duo. They are quite young, I believe around 21-22. Anyhow, this is not an original song, but a sampling from Tamia's "Officially Missing You." Not only did they make this more upbeat, with some type of success, they have re-released(kind-of) this song with So-Yu from Sistar. I personally think the original one is better, but I guess they will achieve more fame with a famous featured artist.

Although this isn't Korean, I have been listening to this song waaaaaaaaaay too much recently. The song is by jayesslee and I like it a lot better than Tamia's version, so ya....

SES - Running (달리기)

This song is great for giving hope and helping you find that hidden strength you thought you lost. SES was a 3 female member group that was dominating the early idol stage, having a rivalry with Fin.kl or however you spell that. All 3 of them are kind of still active in the entertainment business. Although 2 of them are married, they are all beautiful as always. This song is not an original by them. The original was done by an artist named "Yoon Sang." I believe I played one of his songs before (not sung by him).

The original:

I find original to be more soothing, because the voice is deeper and sounds more soft to me. WAIT! that is not all. I have stumbled upon an another cover by an artist named YounHa. It is not an official cover, because it was part of her radio program. She is a very skillful vocalist who have done many other covers besides this one. So if interested, you should definitely stalking her and find everything about her.

10cm - Please Hug Me (안아줘요)

10cm, 2 member duo, who started out dreaming to be a rockstar, but due to "money issue", so they say on TV shows, they became a soothing acoustic indie artist. With their song "Americano" being used in a famous coffee commercial, they became a star who not only produced easy and simple song, they were able to follow up with lovely songs afterwards and continuously show off their skills. This song was part of a single if I remember correctly. They have recently released their second album, which hit top 10 chart of course. Lovely song, lovely voice, lovely band, it is just sad that weather in Kingston can't be lovely.... ever.....

Supreme Team (ft. Soulman) - Please tell me (말 좀 해줘)

Supreme Team, 2 member hip-hop group who were known for their flow and deep voice of Simon D. Unfortunately the other member was caught for something related to drug and I'm not sure what is happening with the group at the moment. Simon D have worked kind of solo after the incident, but quite inactive on TV business at the moment. This song is from the Blue Brand Project - my lovely hip hop collaboration album. Soulman was shortely introduced previously in the show and no doubt his voice is soulful and they have worked together in another blue brand project.
