Park Ji Yoon - I'm a Man (박지윤 - 난 남자야)

Park Ji Yoon, who is probably known to many koreans for her song "adult ceremony", isn't really noticed these days. This is probably the best song I've heard from her in my taste. It was released around the time she released adult ceremony and this wasn't as popular but I like this a lot more.

She did make an album couple of years ago but did not get many attention, and many of the critics say that she changed her image from cute to sexy in such a short period of time, the public has already seen enough of shock from one person. Not sure if it's true, but the image of the adult ceremony is strongly engraved into many people's memory

Splash Romance - I Was Born to you (스플래쉬 로맨스)

This song was found with a very unique title. It did not have word of the artist name or the song. It simply said "Crazy Unbelievable vocal" (in Korean of course). The voice you are hearing is supposedly a vocal teacher of many famous artist. I say supposedly cause i read it in the comments and I wouldn't know the truth.

His voice is truly awesome and that is all you have to know. Awesome voice combined with a song that is able to show his skill.

Urban Zakapa - My love (어반자카파 - 그날에 우리)

Urban Zakapa, a trio of vocalist, is getting quite popular after a huge project which went back to sing a song from 90's. I'm not sure if I would consider them indie because they are with fluxus and they are getting quite popular.

This is the song from their official first album, not what they had their debut with. It is an amazing song by amazing group and they have a song called "Just a feeling" which is from that project I was talking about. It is also awesome so you should check it out.

Wishlist - Stupid dumb dog brain (바보 똥개 멍충아)

Wishlist. Cool name which I have never heard of before and yet produced this simple but awesome song which I was very lucky to find. The title of the song is kind of hard, because the perfect translation is hard as it is basically saying you are dumb in korean way. I love the song because the lyrics are simple and going through the mind of the daily life.

Star Love Fish - Sorry (스타러브피쉬 - 미안)

This song is kind of getting recognized by people because it is getting used as a bgm for many korean tv shows, one of which was Kim Byung Man's Law of Jungle. The beginning of the song is just so amazing at capturing the mood and portraying the message in a such a simple manner. Sorry....

But... maybe because I was too hyped up from just listening the beginning , I feel like the rest of the song is quite dull due to the amazing intro. But it is still an amazing song none the less.

Yoon Jong Shin - Your Thought (윤종신 - 니생각)

This song really isn't by Yoon Jong Shin but it is.... if that makes sense. So I recently found out Yoon Jong Shin have been working out with many other artists to release new song every month. This song may be familiar to many people if they have watched Super Star K3 and see Two Months perform this song.

Kim Geu Rim was a contestant in a previous Season 2 but with one incident which lead to her dislike by many people made her get last place in the first round even with an amazing performance.

I have previously played a song by Jang Jae In on the show which was the January edition of Yoon Jong Shin's monthly music.

Black Skirt - International Love Song (검정치마)

Black Skirt would be popularity level medium in my opinion. The vocal has been featuring for other artists such as Verbal Jint. The interesting thing is there is a foreigner as a member in the group. They have been showing up a little bit on TV some time ago, but I only see the vocal coming out to perform the song he worked with other artists these days.

They have their unique sound to their music and that brings a lot of hardcore fans. Who doesn't love a love song.

Clover - Some Wave (클로버 - 어느 파도)

This is a song which I think many of you don't know about. I found this online when I was searching through new Korean songs and found a channel called standingegg. I do not know the specifics of the people involved with this channel but I am quite impressed with all the songs that they upload on the channel. I believe it is an official channel which is even better.

There are a lot of other good songs which are still under the radar and I shall guide you through the search with me~~~ MWAHAHAH

Coffee Boy - Can I Get married (커피소년 - 장가 갈수 있을까)

This song is more like "Would I be able to get married?" but for simplicity I just put it as Can i get married. I found this song on a show called Jjack (짝) which is people who are single trying to find someone to get married. The song is soft yet gloomy at the same time.

The female's voice is an artist named Nae Ri and I really like her voice. I couldn't find much with her so guess that means I'm going to have to listen to this song morrrrrrrrre.

Yoari - Excuse me (요아리 - 저기요)

This song came up in my mind as Son Ye Rim sang this song in the show Magnificent Birth. I have definitely heard of the chorus before, but I wasn't familiar with her face. I remember her name because she sang a famous OST for a k-drama "Secret Garden". Her song came up very often during the show and that is why her name might be or that particular song may be familiar to many people.

According to some descriptions, she was supposed to be the member of a Brown Eyed Girls, but clearly she isn't, so I don't know what happened but she definitely has skills and in my opinion it doesn't go well with the image B.E.G. has at the moment so it's good.

Park Hyo Shin - Snow Flower (박효신 - 눈의꽃)

This song was an OST for a famous k-drama "I'm Sorry, I love you." There are numerous amounts of songs which people praise Park Hyo Shin for, but in my opinion this is one of the most familiar song that Park Hyo Shin sang for maybe younger and older generation.

Recently he went to army, so I'm not sure if he is already out of the army but K. Will and Boom has been doing an impression of him some time ago, which is making me wanna hear him so much more. His deep voice is so amazing and how he is able to control the feeling and the pitch so well is amazing.

I've played a song that he released just before going to the army in my show previously but I just cannot seem to find some legit version of this song, so instead I present to you in a music of the day segment.

When he comes out and if I Am a Singer still exists, I REAAAAAAAAAAAAAALY wanna see him in the show.

015B - Lost my way for a bit (015B - 잠시 길을 잃다)

015B feat. Shin Bo Kyung sung this song which is purely awesome with the beat and the vocal. I found this song through Super Star K i believe and I fell in love with it. I'm not sure who Shin Bo Kyung is but her voice goes very well with this song. I know I wanted to play this song in my show but I'm not sure if I have because I found this song just before my show got started.

It is amazing how these audition programs in Korea are giving me so much more insight into these hidden music which I can't believe I haven't found before.

Shin Seung Hoon - Butterfly Effect (신승훈 - 나비효과)

Shin Seung Hoon, a legendary singer, has numerous amounts of hits and songs that are memorable and this song is one of them. I found this song when he was the mentor of the Magnificent Birth (위대한 탄생) Season 1, and I believe Shayne (or Shane?) sang this song for one of the rounds. 

His voice has been known to be very sacred(?) or just beautiful, he was named the legendary voice when he first came out in Korea, and after he made a debut in Japan, he has been praised by Japanese press and has been performing in a lot of concerts successfully without many appearances on TV.

J Rabbit - Love Songs (제이레빗)

J Rabbit, a rising indie group in my heart, has numerous amounts of covers, medley, and original songs which can be found on youtube. There are a lot of other indie groups that are posting their music on youtube instead of the korean video sharing site, which is a very good thing for me.

This song is a medley of many korean love songs which are famous. I love the beginning of the song and the overall feel of the music is very lovely.

Phantom - Song that Teenagers shouldn't listen to (청소년이 들으면 안되는 노래)

This is probably the best song I've heard (from the new songs that I've heard) EVER!!!! It is a medley of the songs that was banned by a community group. Somewhat detailed information and the lyrics are in the video description of the video above. I could probably name all the songs that were used to make the medley here, but I personally don't see the point because it doesn't resemble the original song at all in my opinion.

I love the transition at the end to the 10cm 'Americano'. I just reallllllllllllllly wish the song was longer and have the last verse come back, but since it is a medley.... guess this will do.

Kim Jong Kook - One man

Kim Jong Kook a formal member of a famous dance group "Turbo" in the 90's became a solo artist after Turbo disbanded. When he first came out as a solo artist he did not get as much attention, yes he had the fans from Turbo period, but it was hard to grab that public attention when you couldn't produce the hit songs as a solo artist like you used to.

But that problem was soon solved as soon as this song came out. A simple lyric and chorus which many people could repeat after is always an essential to a hit song and this one had it. It gave him a leverage to show up on more TV shows like X man, which was probably the most famous show in korea at the time. After that he has been successful in almost every single album he released. Even though he is now having quite comical character or "Spartan" image in the show Running Man, there are numerous amounts of song that you must listen to before estimating or even judging how good he is.

Lee Han Chul - Public Bus Romance (이한철 - 시내버스 로맨스)

Lee Han Chul and the Box Bus Rider, in this article shortened and just saying Lee Han Chul, have this song called Public bus romance which is amazing. It is soothing and lovely at the same time to me. The bus made in the video were all with a box which makes sense because it is "Box Bus" rider.

I have previously chose Lee Han Chul's Superstar as a music of the day, and that is really only song that is quite well known to other people. Lee Han Chul is definitely known in the indie group portions, but unfortunately not many people take as much interest in the indie music as some of us do.

Lena Park - It's sweet (박정현 - 달아요)

Lena Park, aka Park Jung Hyun, was the fairy of 2011 with her successful run through the show "I am a Singer". Her name was probably very well known even before she came onto the show but after the "graduation", her popularity has grown into massive amount. In many of the audition programs, they have picked Lena Park as their favorite artist and also auditioned with the rearranged version which she performed.

The song sounds sweet just like the title and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I found this song through a indie band called J Rabbit. I have played them in my show previously and they have some awesome covers and songs.

Junkie - Truth (정키 - 진심)

 This song was quite unknown to many people but may people are looking for this song these days. It is because a duo who is participating in a show called "K pop star". It was an awesome song and awesome performance to let other people know about the song, but it is unfortunate that only one of them were able to move on with the competition.

I kind of like the voice of the guy who moved on in this song and hopefully after the competition, he'll be able to record his version of the song.
